A love of learning is one the greatest gifts we can foster in our young people and we trust that through the breadth of our curriculum and the range of opportunities we offer, each student will develop to his or her full potential. At the same time, it is essential at this stage of their education, for young people to accept the responsibility to study and to respect the learning needs of others.
Our students are given the opportunity to study in a friendly atmosphere, using methodologies that maximise the levels of engagement of young people while extending them in preparation for future pathways.
It is with pleasure that I present to parents and students the 2019 Nazareth Catholic Community School Curriculum Handbooks.
Nazareth Catholic Community exists not only to educate but also to develop and reinforce, in partnership with parents, the values and traditions of its Christian ethos. At Nazareth, students live and learn within a supportive Catholic/Christian community, and we aim to educate the whole person, i.e. the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual dimensions.
I commend these Handbooks to both students and parents as a valuable resource. Together you can make informed choices that will ensure you are prepared for post secondary pathways. We wish our students well as they move into this important process of subject selection and subject counselling and we trust that their decisions will set them on a pathway to success, fulfilment and life- long learning.

The GaTS at Nazareth program is designed to provide a wide array of activities and opportunities for exceptional learners to develop their potential in a variety of disciplines. Consistent with the College ethos the GaTS Program seeks to include all students who are interested in extending and challenging themselves.
The following is a sample of the opportunities that are offered to our students:
At Nazareth, we proudly provide students with the opportunity to explore their personal interests, strengths, challenges and motivations in the form of Careers Education.
With the assistance of Careers Education and VET Coordinator, Mrs Caitlin Rayner, students have the opportunity to identify and research multiple options including further education, training and work - and are then supported to choose appropriate SACE pathways based on their future plans.
