The Wheels Keep on Turning - Thanks to our Operations Staff

02.02.21

For most of us, the summer holidays are a period of rest, but for some in our community, it's one of the busiest times of the year.

We'd like to highlight and acknowledge all the work undertaken by Nazareth staff during the school holidays. Many people worked tirelessly during the summer break (taking only a short holiday from work) to ensure our campuses and resources were perfectly prepared for our Community to return last week.

THANK YOU to our Network Team - who set up 1,500 laptops and iPads for new students and staff, repaired 200 more laptops, installed ten new Clevertouch classroom screens, and more.

THANK YOU to our Finance Team - who continued to pay school bills and receipt parent payments, manage staff payroll, finalise the end of year transactions and implement a new budget for 2021.

THANK YOU to our Uniform Shop Team - who have been working through their peak season (in accordance with new Covid regulations) to assist families with fittings and uniform requirements.

THANK YOU to our Maintenance Team - who always have an extended list of jobs in the school holidays, and this time were able to:

  • Pressure clean our paving and steam clean carpets
  • Clean all external windows
  • Refresh two playground soft falls
  • Make several maintenance repairs to the ECC inside and out
  • Clean 1,400 student lockers
  • Top dress and fertilise our ovals (which are looking magnificent!)
  • Make renovations to offices at the Findon Campus
  • Pave a new path for students at Flinders Park and create a carpark for our new bus
  • Treat the floors in the St Sebastian Centre and Performing Arts space

..plus plenty of other ad hoc maintenance, repairs, furniture shuffles, rubbish removal and painting.

THANK YOU also to all other staff, including other members of the Nazareth Operations Team - Business Manager, Human Resources, Marketing, WHS, Registrars, Student Services and other Support Officers - who continued to work over the holidays to prepare for 2021.
