Astro-oriented students are over the moon today after the official launch of the new Australian Space Discovery Centre at Lot Fourteen in Adelaide!
Year 8 student Georgia Parker was lucky enough to witness Prime Minister Scott Morrison unveil the Centre this morning and highlight the vision for our country’s space sector.
“The Space Centre will mean a lot for students who are passionate about space and can see a future career working in space,” said Georgia.
"The Australian Space Agency's new Centre is quite remarkable! It features a lot of interactive activities for visitors to complete which provide an insight into what it is really like for people who work in mission control, and at the international space agency," said Georgia.
"I was excited to go along to the unveiling event this morning because I was one of the first people to see inside the Space Discovery Centre and explore all of the exciting things to do there!"
The Australian Space Discovery Centre will officially open to the public in May. Visit their website to learn more: www.industry.gov.au/australian-space-discovery-centre
