A young person’s time in middle school can be some of the most exciting and dynamic years in their life. Through this character-shaping time, we provide an academic curriculum complemented by faith formation and our pastoral care program.
Specialised middle years staff support our students in their journey to adulthood as they navigate and explore the changes and challenges signature to this age.
Building on the foundations of primary school, middle school students continue to engage in the core curriculum and are provided additional opportunities to engage in specialist subjects.
Excellent facilities at the Flinders Park Campus well support middle years’ learning. Here we provide a safe, encouraging environment based on respect and positive relationships.
The Year 7 curriculum is taught by core teachers who provide a sense of familiarity and consistency.
Students are encouraged to explore and try new things and have opportunities to try most areas of the curriculum, including languages (Italian or Japanese), the arts, and health and physical education.
Year 7 core classes HEaRT (Humanities, English and Religious Teachings) and SMaRT (Science, Maths and Related Technologies) are taught with an interdisciplinary and inquiry project-based approach.
