Primary Years (R-6)

Build strong foundations for life.

Primary school is all about developing personal identity, strengthening relationships and building capabilities for success in life.

From Reception to Year 6, we cultivate children’s natural curiosity and develop their skills to become independent and resourceful enquirers.

With our strong Catholic values and innovative approach to teaching, learning and well-being, a primary education at Nazareth nurtures the whole child.

Recognising that parents are a child’s first teachers, we partner with families to design personal and flexible learning plans.

Prepared for a fast-paced future.

Our Findon Campus offers a full range of learning opportunities and multiple pathways to recognise our diverse students’ aspirations, interests, and skills.

Students are exposed to the full range of the Australian Curriculum, including Religious Education. Specialist teachers in Italian, The Arts, Music and Physical Education enrich the offerings to all students.

Whilst technology is integral to our highly engaging learning activities, fundamental literacy and numeracy skills are taught through both contemporary and traditional methods.

All learning opportunities are designed to prepare our young people for the world of the future. A future where their success is ensured, thanks to the knowledge, concepts, and human capabilities they developed in primary school.
All students in Year 5 learn an instrument supplied by the school and participate in a Year 5 concert band as part of their curriculum.

Inquiry units and integrated curriculum support students across the primary years to engage more deeply and to lead their learning in areas of interest.
