Australian Defence Force (ADF) information session|16 June

Learn more about Australian Defence Force (ADF) roles available in the Navy, Army and Air Force by attending the upcoming information session happening on:

Music Careers Expo at The Gov | Tuesday 30 June

The Music Careers Expo is a one-day event for young people that provides insights and information on how to get a start in the Australian music industry.

Featuring workshops, tertiary education stalls, networking opportunities and a keynote speech from an established industry artist, the Music Careers Expo is a fun and interactive way for you to learn about all the career pathways in music, as well as meet one-on-one with artists, industry practitioners and education providers who can provide you with tailored advice.

If you have a passion for Australian music and are keen to pursue a career in the industry, the Music Careers Expo is for you.

The Music Careers Expo is FREE to attend, but registrations are essential.

Northern Sound System Holiday Bands | July School Holidays

The Northern Sound System (NSS) is the City of Playford’s youth music and creative industries facility located in the heart of Elizabeth, South Australia.

Holiday Bands is an opportunity for young music enthusiasts aged 13-17 to join a band with like-minded creatives in their local area. The program runs for one week every school holidays and is open to all styles and instruments but focusing on a typical band setup (drums, guitars, bass, keys, vocals) and original song writing.

The next program will run in the July school holidays – Mon 6th – Fri 10th July.

During the week participants will:

  • Join a band
  • Write original music
  • Participate in workshops
  • Record in a studio with a professional engineer
  • Have a professional photoshoot
  • Watch live performances at lunchtime gigs
  • Perform in their own gig on the final night!

Flight One High School Aeroskills Come & Try Day | Monday 14 September, Tuesday 13 October & Saturday 7 November

Are you in Year 10 or 11 and interested in aircraft engineering? Flight One’s Aircraft Engineering “Come & Try” Day is your chance to experience the exciting world of aircraft engineering up close! Join us at Adelaide Airport for a hands-on day filled with learning and fun.

All students wishing to enrol in Flight One School of Engineering’s funded Certificate II in Aeroskills delivered at our Adelaide Airport workshop in 2027, are required to have undertaken immersive activities in an aviation / aircraft maintenance or similar background.

These events are designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the course, delivery location, outcomes and the nature of the training / work environment to ensure that students are well informed before enrolling.

Here at Nazareth Catholic College, we strongly encourage students in Year 10, 11, and 12 to undertake work experience, because as well as assisting in exploring your career pathways, it can also be beneficial in gaining employment.

National Pharmacies Work Experience

National Pharmacies are proud to offer work experience programs to secondary students who have an interest in studying Pharmacy

Women’s and Children’s Hospital

This four-day program is designed for school students in Years 10–12 (aged 15+), offering an interprofessional experience within a healthcare environment.

Students will explore diverse healthcare careers, collaborate with peers, and engage with a wide range of health professionals to gain insight into different roles.

CDW Studios Open Day – Adelaide Studio| Saturday 13 June

Urrbrae Agricultural High School is holding the annual Ag Careers Expo – on Thursday September 24, from 11am-3.30pm.  See the attached flyer for more information.

TAFE SA Dual Offer courses – Pathway to University

SACE Results Date & ATAR – Week beginning Monday 14 December

Students will be able to access their SACE results on the week beginning Monday 14 December by logging in to their SACE Students Online account.

From Thursday 15 January 2026 SATAC will start emailing Year 12 students who have submitted applications for courses in 2026.

There are several rounds of offers. Students who do not receive an offer in the first round may receive offers in subsequent rounds. For queries regarding specific course offers, students should contact the University/TAFE directly.

Thinking about university or TAFE in 2026?

SATAC has produced a series of helpful videos for Year 12 students, explaining everything you need to know about applying to TAFE SA or university. You can view them here. The SATAC Guide is also a great resource to explore your options.

At Nazareth, during Term 3, Year 12 students participated in a range of activities at school to build their understanding of SATAC processes and future pathways, including lodging a SATAC application. The early application deadline was 30 September, but it is not too late to submit an application – applications are still accepted up to 1 December,

Students can speak with their Mentor Group Teacher, Year 12 Year Level Coordinator, or a Careers Counsellor for help at any stage of the process.
