Earlier this month, the Secondary Religious Leaders Association hosted their inaugural Liturgy and Music Ministry Focus Day at Nazareth Flinders Park Campus. The event featured special guests Gen Bryant and Lauren Brier, who led a series of enriching sessions designed to explore the dynamic intersection of music and liturgy.
Our attendees, comprising religion and music teachers, leaders, and enthusiasts, engaged in insightful discussions and practical workshops on:
The day culminated in an inspiring musical concert by Gen and her band for Nazareth Middle Years students. Additionally, our very own Nazareth school Liturgy Band participated in a focused session where they learned new musical pieces under Gen’s guidance, later performing alongside her in the concert.
Gen Bryant, an independent musician, composer, public speaker, and team builder, has been a prominent figure in school and parish ministry across Australia for over 18 years. Her dedication to spreading the Gospel’s messages of hope, love, and justice shines through in her interactive and engaging sessions, as she shares her music and faith journey with people of all ages and backgrounds.
This event was a vibrant blend of learning and celebration, reinforcing the importance of keeping liturgy and music ministry contemporary and exciting for our students.
