Nazareth Year 12 Students Shine in 2023 SACE Results

Nazareth Year 12 students are preparing to pursue their future pathways following the release of excellent SACE results and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) scores on Monday.

The accomplishments of the Class of 2023 highlight a consistent pattern of excellence that has become synonymous with Nazareth. We are proud to celebrate the success of each and every student, as well as a number of incredible individual highlights.

36 students scored in the top 10% with an ATAR of 90 or above. A total of 32 merits (A+ with a perfect score) were received by 24 students across 13 subjects. 421 A band grades were awarded to 168 students, meaning 83% of Nazareth students achieved at least one A grade in the A band.

Congratulations to College Dux Olivia Harwood, who achieved an ATAR of 99.35 (with a merit in Activating Identities and Futures). Olivia was also awarded a prestigious Governor of South Australia Commendation Excellence Award (read more). Paris Economou is the Proxime Accessit, achieving an ATAR of 98.75 (with a merit in Media Studies).

Principal Andrew Baker was proud to congratulate the whole cohort.

“We congratulate the students and their families on these outstanding SACE results. This cohort of Year 12 students were exceptional in both their application and attitude, and they thoroughly deserve the excellent outcomes attained, he said.

“We trust that they now go into the world beyond Nazareth with confidence that they can succeed in whatever pathway they choose. We are very proud of who they have become and all that they have achieved”.

Students at Nazareth can extend themselves by studying Stage 2 subjects in Year 11. Remarkably, six students who undertook this challenge in 2023 achieved grades of A+ with Merit, attaining a perfect scoreā€”an extraordinary accomplishment.

Success comes in many forms, and our promise at Nazareth is that all students will graduate empowered to lead their own fulfilling and holistic lives. Whether their pathway is university, further education, training, apprenticeships, or the workforce, we aspire for every student to work towards a career that values their talents and has a real passion and purpose.

We are dedicated to nurturing diverse pathways, and these impressive Year 12 results reflect our focus on flexible learning, ensuring every student finds a route tailored to their aspirations. Integrating Vocational Education & Training (VET) courses complements our robust curriculum. In 2023, we are also proud to celebrate excellence in VET, with 45 individual qualifications completed.

All students, with their families and staff who have supported their education, can be incredibly proud of their achievements through unwavering determination and relentless hard work.

Thank you, Class of 2023, for enriching the life of our community in so many ways. From everyone at Nazareth, we wish you continued growth, success and happiness as you embark on your exciting next chapter in life.
