Learning isn’t just about what happens in the classroom – it’s about the experiences that challenge, inspire, and connect our students. Music Camp is one of those experiences, giving our young musicians the space to develop confidence, build friendships, and refine their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Earlier this Term, students across Years 7-12 who engage in the Cocurricular Music Program were invited to join an action-packed Music Camp at West Beach Caravan Park. Between intensive rehearsals, a fun-filled camp quiz, and a well-earned beach break, students struck the perfect balance between hard work and downtime.
The workshop and concert with the Jackson Mack Big Band was a highlight, where students had the chance to sit alongside professional musicians, gain insights into jazz and ensemble performance, and even jam with the band.
For our Year 12 students, this final Music Camp was one to remember.
“Music throughout my academic years has always been my go-to place to have a sense of community, family, and support from a variety of peers… My most valued moment of Music Camp 2025 was getting to personally sit with the members of the Jackson Mack Big Band and play our big band charts with them!” shared Leo Lorenzin, Year 12.
Also reflecting on his time at Music Camp, Year 12 student Daniel Tran shared, “Music Camp has always been a highlight of the year… This year, being my final one at Nazareth, carried a wave of emotions – happiness, sadness, and above all, nostalgia.”
A huge thank you to our incredible Music staff and teaching staff for making this experience possible for our students. Music Camp continues to be a highlight of the Cocurricular Music experience, shaping confident and connected young people ready to embrace a year of exceptional musicianship, dedicated rehearsal, and standout performances.
