Junior Primary Choir

A reminder that rehearsals are on Thursdays during the JP lunch time from 12.55 – 1.35.

In preparation for Grandfriends Day students need to be working on ‘L.O.V.E’ without using their lyrics.

Catholic Schools Music Festival Choir

Students must be confident with the following pieces:

Mrs Rothall will be visiting us again on Tuesday 3rd June (week 6). Students will need to know each song by this stage, including choreography!

A reminder that rehearsals are Friday mornings from 8.00 – 8.45. Please ensure you arrive at 7.55 for an 8am start.

🥁Fabian Hevia Percussion Workshop | Monday 12 May

Year 8 Music students, this is in your normal lesson time, so please just move quickly to class after recess to take the roll, and then we will move over to the PAS for the workshop.
Year 9 music students and Percussion Ensemble students, could you please meet me in the band room promptly after recess, and then we will all move to the PAS together.
All you will need for this workshop is yourself and your drink bottle, and Percussion students, can you please bring drumsticks if you have them.

Term 2, Week 4 is the annual Grandfriends Day celebration at our Findon Campus. This year a smaller number of ensembles have been requested to perform, including CSMF Choir, 3-4 Choir, R-2 Choir, Yr 3 and Yr 4 Strings.

A backing band rehearsal has been booked for Tuesday 10th June from 2-3.30pm week 7.

🎼 Catholic Schools Music Festival Auditions | Thursday 19 June | Kidman Park PAS

This year, auditions for Secondary CSMF support act ensembles are to be entered via video submission. Due to this, Students in Stage Band 1 and Vocal Jazz 1 will be bussed to the KP campus on Thursday 19th of June at 10.30am for recording.
Students will need to bring their Music Performance Uniform with blazer to get changed into.
Students will then be bussed back to FP at 1pm.

June 10 and 17 – Combined String Ensemble Rehearsal at Flinders Park chapel 7.30-8.30am (for Findon & FP/KP students)
Strings Concert from 6-7pm, with sound checks from 3.30pm onwards.

🎤 CSMF Findon Choir – Hub Assessment | Tuesday 24 June

Nazareth Findon Campus will host a hub assessment rehearsal for Primary CSMF choirs on Tuesday of week 9 in the CCC.
Nazareth Findon CSMF students must know all repertoire and choreography by memory for this assessment.

👦CSMF Combined Boys EOI

Any boys in Years 7-12 who are interested in being involved in the Catholic Schools Music Festival Combined Boys Ensemble for 2025 – please email Mrs Joyce. It will require you to perform a minimum of 2 evenings in week 10 of Term 3.

Adelaide Youth Orchestra have 2 instrument days coming up that we’d love to have any interested students at! Both are free events aimed at students from year 5 – 12 who are undertaking tuition on Brass or Percussion Instruments. Please see attached letters for further information.

Instrumental Hire Forms

Instrumental tuition lessons are open to all students and can be arranged through our music office. Lessons are mostly conducted during school hours on a rotating basis. The forms and documents below detail many aspects of the music program, including instrumental tuition program fees and enrolment.
