Term 3, Week 9:

Monday 15th of September

A reminder that rehearsals are on Thursdays during the JP lunch time from 12.55 – 1.35.

Years 3-4 Choir

A reminder that rehearsals are Friday mornings from 8.00 – 8.45. Please ensure you arrive at 7.55 for an 8am start.

Primary Concert Band

Students should be working on:

Guardians, by Adrian B. Sims – Score & Sound

The Lost Kingdom, by John O’Reilly – Score & Sound

Ghostbusters (from Ghostbusters), arr. Michael Story – Score & Sound

Year 3 Strings

Continuing with regular lessons. Students should be practicing a minimum of 3 times per week.

Year 4 Strings

Continuing with regular lessons. Students should be practicing a minimum of 3 times per week.

Findon String Ensemble

String Ensemble – Monday rehearsals cancelled for week 6 and 7, replaced by rehearsals on Tuesdays at Flinders Park from 7:30-8:30. Bus transport has been arranged back to Findon.

🎺Specialist Ensemble Auditions

We are excited to announce the audition dates for the 2026 Specialist Ensembles: Senior Flute Ensemble, Vocal Jazz, and Stage Bands.

Auditions are a valuable opportunity for students to showcase their talents and ensure they are placed in an ensemble where they can thrive and grow as musicians.

Audition Schedule

  • Monday 27th October – Stage Band 1, 2 & 3 (Flinders Park Campus)
  • Tuesday 28th October – Stage Band (morning) & Vocal Jazz (afternoon) (Kidman Park Campus)
  • Wednesday 29th November – Vocal Jazz (mixed vocal choir) (Flinders Park Campus)
  • Thursday 30th November – Flute Auditions (Flinders Park Campus)

  • Please note the following combined rehearsal dates. Consent2gos have been distributed:
  • Wk 9, T3             Tuesday 16th September  1.00-2.30pm St Michaels      – bus will leave Flinders park at 12:30, and Kidman Park at 12:40.
🎶 Catholic Schools Music Festival 2025

Congratulations to Stage Band 1 and Vocal Jazz 1 students who have been selected as support acts for CSMF. Vocal Jazz 1 will be performing on Tuesday the 23rd of September, and Stage Band 1 will be performing 2 pieces back-to-back on Thursday the 25th of September!

Instrumental Hire Forms

Instrumental tuition lessons are open to all students and can be arranged through our music office. Lessons are mostly conducted during school hours on a rotating basis.  The forms and documents below detail many aspects of the music program, including instrumental tuition program fees and enrolment.
