🎼 ABODA – Week 4 Performances

• Please find the ABODA information letter linked HERE. Consent2Gos have been distributed throughout this week for these events.

🚗Student Driver Reminder

• A reminder to all student drivers: please review the student driver guidelines communicated in this week’s school newsletter.
• Music students in particular are reminded that you are not permitted to transport other students between campuses unless the appropriate permission forms have been completed and approved.

🚀🪐Cabaret 2025

• Cabaret Letter is HERE – please read to find important information about combined rehearsals and cabaret Tshirts.

• 🎤 Cabaret Solos – Auditions Now Open!
  • Students who would like to audition for a solo in this year’s Cabaret are invited to submit a video audition via email to Miss Mensforth at [email protected] by Friday Week 3 at 9am (8^th of August).
  • Available solos include:
    • The Final Countdown – Bars 41–54 (Verse 1)
    • Starlight – Bars 28–56 (multiple soloists will be selected)
    • Across the Universe
      • Baritone solo: Bars 34–43
      • Alto solo: Bars 38–43
      • Tenor and/or Soprano solo: Bars 71–79
  • All music is in this folder THIS FOLDER if you don’t already have it from your ensemble rehearsals. There are also recordings provided in the folder for you to sing along with for your audition video.
  • We look forward to seeing your auditions!

👦CSMF Combined Boys

• Please note the following combined rehearsal dates. Consent2gos have been distributed:
• Wk 3, T3             Monday 4^th August         1.00-2.30pm     Sacred Heart – this week! The bus will leave FP at 12:10, and then pick up KP students at 12:15. Please bring your lunch.
• Wk 5, T3             Friday 22^nd August         1.00-2.30pm     Nazareth 
• Wk 9, T3             Tuesday 16^th September  1.00-2.30pm St Michaels      

• 🎶 Catholic Schools Music Festival 2025 – Ticket Information 🎟️
• Families attending the Catholic Schools Music Festival 2025 can now purchase tickets directly through Ticketek. Please note the following important details:
• Families are responsible for purchasing their own tickets via Ticketek.
• Group bookings can be made by families coordinating their own groups. Large group bookings open earlier than general sales.
• Ticket Prices:
  • A-Reserve: $41
  • B-Reserve: $36
  • Children under 3 may sit on a parent’s lap and do not require a ticket.
• Booking Fees: A $5.70 service and handling fee applies per transaction (not per ticket).
• No Refunds: Please note that tickets are non-refundable, even if a student is unable to attend the performance.

🎶 Catholic Schools Music Festival 2025

Congratulations to Stage Band 1 and Vocal Jazz 1 students who have been selected as support acts for CSMF. Vocal Jazz 1 will be performing on Tuesday the 23rd of September, and Stage Band 1 will be performing 2 pieces back-to-back on Thursday the 25th of September!

🎶 Voices of Adelaide – A New Choral Opportunity

• Voices of Adelaide is an exciting new 4-day initiative for school students passionate about singing and choral music.
• Students can apply to join the first-ever South Australian Honour Choir, led by renowned choral conductors Dr Carl Crossin (SATB), Christie Anderson (SSAA), and Jonathan Bligh (TTBB).
• The event also includes:
  • A nearly full free A Cappella Schools Workshop
  • A Gala Concert at Elder Hall
  • A Choral Conductor’s Professional Development Day for music educators
• Presented by Festival Statesmen (2024 World Choir Games Champions) in partnership with the Elder Conservatorium.
• We strongly encourage interested students to apply and represent Nazareth at this fantastic event.

Instrumental Hire Forms

Instrumental tuition lessons are open to all students and can be arranged through our music office. Lessons are mostly conducted during school hours on a rotating basis.  The forms and documents below detail many aspects of the music program, including instrumental tuition program fees and enrolment.
