Year 12 School Leavers: 2026 Regional Health Scholarships

Are you a school leaver and interested in studying Health? You may be interested in applying for SA Health’s 2026 Regional Health Scholarships.

The Regional Health Scholarship Program is designed for regional students and/or existing employees who are studying or planning to commence studies in eligible qualifications, with a demonstrated commitment to improving health outcomes in regional South Australia.

Information for Year 12s

Year 12 students can make an appointment to speak to a Careers Counsellor up until Thursday 11 December 2025.

This can be to discuss a range of pathways after school, including TAFE courses, apprenticeships, traineeships, university degrees, work experience, resume preparation, and applying for jobs.

SACE Results Date & ATAR – Monday 15 December

Students will be able to access their SACE results on Monday 15 December by logging in to their SACE Students Online account.

Students eligible for an ATAR will also be able to see their Tertiary Entrance Statement (TES) containing their university entry information.

University Course Offers – commence Thursday 15 January

From Thursday 15 January 2026 SATAC will start emailing Year 12 students who have submitted applications for courses in 2026.

There are several rounds of offers. Students who do not receive an offer in the first round may receive offers in subsequent rounds. For queries regarding specific course offers, students should contact the University/TAFE directly.

Thinking about university or TAFE in 2025?

SATAC has produced a series of helpful videos for Year 12 students, explaining everything you need to know about applying to TAFE SA or university. You can view them here. The SATAC Guide is also a great resource to explore your options.

At Nazareth, during Term 3, Year 12 students participated in a range of activities at school to build their understanding of SATAC processes and future pathways, including lodging a SATAC application. The early application deadline was 30 September, but it is not too late to submit an application – applications are still accepted up to 1 December,

Students can speak with their Mentor Group Teacher, Year 12 Year Level Coordinator, or a Careers Counsellor for help at any stage of the process.

Gallipoli Scholarship

Are you planning on studying at TAFE or university next year. You may be eligible for this opportunity.

The Gallipoli Scholarship is open to the direct descendants of any serviceman or woman who has served in the Australian or New Zealand Defence Force in a conflict or peacekeeping operation, from the First World War through to the present day. Selection is based 60% on necessitous circumstances and 40% on academic merit. Scholarship applications open 1 January 2026 (during the school holidays). Eligible students only should apply.

Work Experience Opportunities

Year 11 students without exams are encouraged to organise work experience during Exam Week (Monday 17 to Friday 21 November).

The last day to undertake work experience in 2025 is Thursday 11 December. This opportunity is still available to Year 12s even if they have finished for the year.

SAPOL Work Experience

Discover SAPOL Work Experience Program

The Discover SAPOL Program provides Year 10 to 12 students with a unique opportunity to experience the diverse and rewarding careers within SAPOL, including roles such as Police Officer and Police Security Officer. This immersive four-day program offers valuable insight into policing roles and career pathways.

Important Dates:
* Applications Close: Friday, 2 May 2025 – Late applications will not be accepted.
* Notification of Outcome: Successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified by Friday, 16 May 2025.

Program Dates:
Students will be asked to select their two preferred program dates. If successful, SAPOL will aim to accommodate one of their chosen options.

  • Course 1: Term 2, Week 1 – Tuesday 28 April to Friday 1 May
  • Course 2: Term 2, Week 5 – Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 May
  • Course 3: Term 3, Week 3 – Tuesday 4 to Friday 7 August

Hospitality Starter Pack — Tools & Tricks for the First Shift 

is the ultimate two-day kickstart for anyone aged 16+ wanting a foot in the door of cafés, pubs, and restaurants across Adelaide.

Monday 15 & Tuesday 16 December 2025 (9am–4pm, doors open 8.30am), this dynamic, hands-on short course includes the accredited RSA unit (SITHFAB021 Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol) — an essential qualification for working in licensed venues.

Students will also develop employability and soft skills that help them stand out in real workplaces:

  • Customer service and teamwork
  • Table setting, napkin folding, and polishing glassware
