It is our great pleasure to inform our community that Nazareth Catholic Community, in conjunction with Catholic Education South Australia has secured the purchase of a 2.64 hectare site at 344 Findon Road, Kidman Park. The property, located approximately 1.6km from both the Flinders Park and Findon Campuses will cater exclusively for Year 11 and Year 12 students and become a third campus for Nazareth Catholic Community.
The Kidman Park Campus will be open and ready for teaching and learning in 2023 and will be Catholic Education’s first purpose-built stand-alone campus for Year 11 and Year 12 students.
The expansion to a third site for Nazareth Catholic Community will continue to support the unprecedented enrolment demand for a Catholic education. We are also mindful of the high demand for primary school places in the western suburbs, and at Nazareth in particular, and work is currently underway to address this situation.
The campus, dedicated to Year 11 and Year 12 students, will continue to build on the learning style and design of both our Caritas Building and St Gabriel Centre. The brand-new purpose-built facility will effectively duplicate the facilities currently available to students at Flinders Park Campus, including general learning spaces, student hubs for collaboration and self-directed study, a performing arts space, music suite, food and technology kitchens, design and technology spaces, engineering and STEM facilities, arts, sciences, a double court gymnasium, outdoor oval areas, weights and fitness facilities, a café, student services and administration spaces.
The campus will accommodate large car parking areas, pick up and drop off zones, cycling racks and is in close proximity to public transport. The site is ideally located approximately 1.6km from both the Flinders Park and Findon campuses.
Families continue to seek the strong community and educational pathway that Nazareth provides, and the expansion to a third campus will ensure that both of these important elements are maintained as we seek to service the demand in the western suburbs.
The Flinders Park Campus, complete with specialist facilities and resourcing, will continue to cater for Years 7 – 10 students. These facilities will be duplicated at Kidman Park, creating a seamless transition from the middle school years to senior school years and providing greater opportunity for teaching and learning across 7 – 12.
The expansion allows us to continue to reimagine how we deliver curriculum and create community in a modern and ever-changing context.
Community | Learning | Opportunities
We are committed to ensuring that Nazareth’s vision of connecting faith, family and education will continue to flourish and that key opportunities provided to Year 11 and Year 12 students will continue to be afforded at the Kidman Park campus.
The learning spaces and environment at the St Gabriel Centre will continue to be utilised and provide flexibility in the delivery of teaching and learning across secondary schooling.
